6th ANNUAL SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S FILM FESTIVAL

Presenting 11 full-length Chinese children’s films, and 9-year-old local movie critic Perry Chen will speak again on Aug 15 at 1 pm, discussing his experience as a young movie critic and share one of his all-time favorite film he saw at the festival “The Fan & and the Flower.”

Starting at 10:30 a.m. daily
Free admission to film screenings for everyone with admission to musuem

The 6th Annual San Diego International Children’s Film Festival happens July 24-Aug. 16 at the San Diego Museum of Art (outdoors), Comic-Con International, the Museum of Photographic Arts, the Carlsbad City Library on Dove Lane and the New Children’s Museum downtown.

The festival is proud to present 11 full-length children’s films from China, July 31-Aug. 3 at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park. These films, intended for children reading age and older, represent the best in current Chinese family cinema.

A delegation of filmmakers and cultural officials from China will be present at the screenings. In addition, 9-year-old San Diego film critic Perry Chen will talk about his work as a critic, and discuss with attending children his methods for judging and enjoying films. Perry will speak at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31; and 11:30 am at the New Children’s Museum.

The screenings and discussions are free for everyone.
