I predict Up from Pixar/Disney will win this year’s Golden Globe animated feature film award tonight (Jan 17, 2010). The film is inspiring, creative in pairing a 78-yr-old and an 8-yr-old in an adventure with lots of plot twists and turns. It has a wonderful storyline with emotional connection, and stunning visuals. I loved the colorful balloons lifting the house! Kids and adults enjoy the humor throughout the film too.
2009 is a fantastic year for animation! I enjoyed watching and reviewing all of the nominated films:
Up
The Princess & the Frog
The Fantastic Mr. Fox
Coraline
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball
Watch Golden Globe Awards on NBC tonight, and find out if my prediction is right!
I’ll be accepting my writing award for my movie review column TONIGHT at the San Diego Poway Performing Arts Center tonight, and give a short speech on behalf of award-winning writers of “We Chinese in America”. I’m excited. Stay tuned for photos and video of the event.
