The longest film festival in San Diego, the 10th annual San Diego Asian Film Festival (SDAFF, Oct 15-29) was a tremendous success!  Over 200 films, including features, shorts, documentary were shown.

This was Perry’s first experience at SDAFF.  He was invited to interview filmmakers and festival executive director Lee Ann Kim, attend the gala dinner and was interviewed on the red carpet for the first time!  Perry made many friends with filmmakers and audience alike.  The photos above showed some of the activities and festivities at the festival.

Perry reviewed multiple award-winner feature “Children of Invention” and “My Beijing Birthday,” on We Chinese, KUSI San Diego, and enjoyed meeting both directors Tze Chun and Howie Snyder.  He also met director Laura Bari who directed “Antoine” about a blind boy which he enjoyed.  Other movies Perry loved include Korean family comedy “Scandal Makers” and documentary film “Between the Folds” about origami artists around the world.
