Perry Chen, renowned child movie critic and youngest radio talk show host for wsRadio’s “Perry Previews the Movies,” is invited to attend San Diego Film Festival Sep 23-27, 2009, as the youngest credentialed media, held at San Diego’s downtown Gaslamp district, where 85 exciting films will be showcased. He will review selected movies at the festival.
Perry Chen is a 9-year-old columnist, movie critic, and radio talk show host of “Perry Previews the Movies” on www.wsRadio.com . Short? Perfect! Comprised of five distinct film programs (each with approximately eight short films that run an hour and a half), our short film series takes you on a journey that makes you laugh, cry and perhaps even question the world around you.
Film Rocks: Through musically-inspired short films and music videos, “Film Rocks” celebrates the evolving and symbiotic relationship between music and movies.
Local Love: A collection of films that features filmmakers who currently live in San Diego, were born in San Diego, or films that were primarily shot in San Diego County.
Green Screen: A fun, interactive short documentary series showcasing the simple things people around the world are doing to make our planet “green.” The films highlight topics from global warming to recycling to enlighten and inspire you to take action, right in your own backyard. Little Critics: An interactive showcase for new independent children’s films, geared towards kids ages 3 – 10. Kids will learn fun history lessons, take whirlwind trips to faraway lands and sneak a peak at San Diego premieres. Surprises, giveaways and sweet treats await SDFF’s youngest film enthusiasts. Hosted by the San Diego International Film Festival.
