Perry’s Previews “Rango” – Even Johnny Depp Can’t Save Weak Plot & Unappealing Characters

Liked: I liked a few entertaining scenes and the quote, “No one can walk out of his own story.” I also think the four burrowing owls in festive sombreros and instruments are funny and kind of cute.

Disliked: This film is BAD! Johnny Depp tried his best, but his character is simply not very well developed. Also, a lot like what Roger Ebert wrote on “The Green Hornet,” there is too much senseless violence that adds little to the plot. I don’t like the character design either. Many of the townspeople are ugly, and some do not resemble any living creatures, such as a character with shaggy hair and a beak for a nose. The film has a weak story line and no powerful moral. “Wall-E” told a much better story about a similar problem.

He is the youngest member of the Asian American Journalist Association, the San Diego Press Club, and the youngest honoree of Cox Communication Channel 4’s annul Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
